We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Marine Cottage. We had great weather and thought the house was perfect for a family. The view from the top-floor was fantastic. We think Salcombe is a lovely unspoilt Devon town and hope to be back next year.

Salcombe is one of the most popular and lovely sailing and fishing centres in the West Country. The sheltered harbour attracts watersports enthusiasts of all ages, and the spectacular coastline inspires artists, photographers and naturalists.

Make a booking to stay at Marine Cottage and you will be staying in a house with attractive furniture, quality bed linen and fine soft furnishings. Many previous guests have told us that the house has a homely feeling and that it is very comfortable. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars together with plentiful street parking, and enclosed gardens with a terarce which are perfect for relaxing in after a busy day exploring Salcombe.

The spacious ground floor of this Salcombe holiday home features a comfortable sitting room, dining hall with table to seat eight people, downstairs WC with basin, well-equipped and fitted kitchen with appliances and kitchen table, and door leading to the garden and patio terrace.

The first floor of the house features a good-size master bedroom with en-suite. This is a popular bedroom choice with guests as you have wonderful views across the harbour towards the harbour and South Pool and Goodshelter. It doesn't get much better than being able to lie in bed whilst still being able to see the boats on the water! Also on this floor is a bedroom with two twin beds, and the family bathroom.

The master bedroom is located at the front of the house on the first floor. It has wonderful views across the harbour towards the harbour and South Pool and Goodshelter. You could lie in the comfortable five foot double bed and watch the boats bobbing about on the water!

At the top of the house is the self contained studio with a stunning panoramic view over the estuary. The studio can be either totally private or opened up, linking it to the rest of the house. With a sitting area, 4' 6" sofa bed, well equipped kitchen area, shower room and WC, this floor often provides a quiet retreat for grandparents!

Just look at this stunning view taken from the top floor of the house which features a self-contained studio flat with panoramic 270° views of the harbour area, rolling green countryside, and the tidal estuary.

Outside, the back garden is completely enclosed and secure, and has palm trees and mature shrubs edging the lawn and providing privacy. It is a peaceful place to relax in, where children can play safely.

The patio outside the kitchen has a teak table and chairs for 8, and a built-in barbeque for al fresco dining on warm summer evenings. Enjoy a casual evening with family and friends after a day on the beach or spent exploring the countryside.There is a small garden area in front of Marine Cottage, which is perfect for relaxing with a morning cup of coffee. It is very peaceful in this quiet residential part of Salcombe.

All bedding and bed linen is provided for you, but please note that we do not supply towels, beach towels or tea towels. Marine Cottage has gas central heating for which there is a £40 per week supplementary charge for the months October to April inclusive.
